8. Text Widget
Static text on your dashboard — nothing here is read from a device. Every other widget on this page exists to show a reading; Text exists to explain the readings around it — a section header dividing a dashboard into zones, a line of instructions for whoever’s watching, a note about what a threshold actually means. It’s also the only widget with no Title or Description field.

Step 1: Write the Text
Markdown formatting is supported — headings, bold, links, and lists all render.
Unlike every other widget, Text has no Title or Description field at all — the Text content is the only thing you set. It also has no Data Source, no Field, and no Time Range, because it isn’t reading anything. None of the reasons a widget shows no data apply to it — a Text widget that looks wrong is a content problem, not a data problem.
